About

Letterboxd is a social network for talking about film. Members rate, review, and list the movies they have watched, and follow the people whose taste they trust.

This website is a student recreation of the public letterboxd.com homepage and main sections for a class assignment. Layout, color, and type follow that reference. Photographs are replacements, and this project is not affiliated with Letterboxd Limited.

Terms

Use this recreation for the assignment. Do not present it as the official Letterboxd service, and do not collect real passwords with the demo sign-in form.

Privacy

Nothing you type into the demo forms is sent to a server. The page only checks that the fields are filled in, then shows a confirmation on this device.

API

The real Letterboxd site credits film data to TMDB. This recreation uses a short local list of well-known titles so the pages work without an account or an API key.

Contact

For the real service, use the contact page on letterboxd.com. For this class project, submit the folder that contains index.html.
